Liebes Sender-Volk,
Dear Sender-people,

ich muss befürchten, dass du mich vermisst. Ich habe eine schwierige Zeit hinter mir. Die schwarz-rot-gelbe “Wir sind Papst und Pop und werden jüngster Weltmeister aller Zeiten”-Hysterie hat mich recht gelähmt, gekränkt und auch beleidigt. Dir wird’s nicht anders gegangen sein.

I have to fear that you miss me. I had hard times. The black-red-yellow ‘we are pope and pop and will be youngest world-champion of all times’-hysteria paralyzed me, wounded and offended me. It must have been the same for you.

Ich schlage vor, dass wir uns zur Erholung dem ersehnten Sommer überlassen, uns auf der Stelle ausziehen, eiskalte Cocktails ordern und auf allen geeigneten Unterlagen treiben, zu was wir bei der Hitze noch in der Lage sind.

I suggest that for our recreation we dedicate ourselves to the eagerly awaited summer; let’s get undressed at once, order some ice-cold drinks and let’s do it on any available base – as far as we can at this heat.

Es wird schneller vorbei sein als uns lieb ist, und dann werden wir sofort wieder knallsauer auf alle möglichen Beschissenheiten in diesem”tollen Land” und auf diesem bemitleidenswerten Planeten. Und werden das eifrig verfilmen.

It will be over sooner than we ‘d like to, and then we will immediately get pissed off by all this lousiness of our ‘fantastic country’ and on this pitiful planet. And we will make films of everything.

Bis dahin lassen wir im Hintergrund alle paar Tage etwas Erbauliches aus dem reichen Archiv dudeln.

Blasted away by millions of vuvuzelas, we don’t know really how to go on with our nice little videoblog. This is what we are thinking about today, and we are looking for a new actor, for a new character: Bruder Ministerle (something like “Brother little minister”.
